About Patricia Teel
I've been taking photographs since I was about thirteen years old. I'm a few months away from seventy now and still shooting. I've always had a fascination with horses, even though my early years I grew up in the city.
I've attended copious photography classes and workshops throughout my life; have a degree in film/video production; been an assistant to three professional photographers; worked for portrait studios and had my own business for a few years. I'm also an artist/dabbler in other mediums like graphic design and mixed media/painting. My focus is mainly on horses, equine sports, and the landscape of the West but I enjoy just taking photographs in my flower garden too. It all depends on the light and my mood, as to what I see as interesting or beautiful at the time.
I love catching private moments of emotion between people and horses - the quick instances of communication and connection.
